How to Make Money as a Teenager

As a teenager earning money can often be difficult. When you go to town with your friends at the weekend it is nice to have a bit of money to spend. The past few years I have learnt a few ways which work foe me to earn money and I thought that I would share them with you.

(1) Babysitting The first one which is quite a popular way of earning money is babysitting. It is not too difficult and you can earn quite a bit from it. I think that to babysit you should be no younger than 14 depending on your maturity level. Talk to you parents whether they know anybody that needs a babysitter. Also print of flyers to take around your local village, neighbourhood or community.

(2) Petsitting The same goes for pet sitting. Some people may go away for a few hours and want somebody to look after there pet and something where you don't need experience, just some common sense!

(3)Small Jobs Especially in your mid/later teens you can start looking for small cafĂ© jobs or pubs. You can legally start working at 13 with the minimum wage at £4.05. Email different places that aren't to big a company but small business. Tell them your age, a bit about yourself and fingers crossed that they will reply! If they give you a chance they will ask you to come in to there company get to know you and see if you would fit in.

(4) Selling You could go through your wardrobe. The likelihood is that it probably needs a sort out anyway!  Find some clothes that you don't need anymore then take pictures and upload them to places like Ebay or Depop. TIP - I always have a rule that every time I buy something I sell it so i'm not losing money!

(5)Small Business Set up small businesses like dog walking, selling jewellery, homemade cards, homemade cookies or cakes or whatever passions you have. Print off some labels and stick them on for a personal touch. It doesn't have to start of big. Just sell them to your family and friends and you can make a nice profit.

(6) Allowance The last one is the easiest one to do and if it works out then you will definitely be getting some money. Talk to your parents. Say that now your a bit older and are going out with your friend a bit more, whether they could give you an allowance. Now this depends on your parents. Some parents are happy to but everyone is different. It may be daily, weekly or monthly and it could be £1 to £20. If your parents at first say no say that you are willing to work for it whether that is doing the dishwasher, washing, cleaning etc.

I hope that this helped you and gave you a few ideas to how you could make some money. Please comment what you thought of this post xx
